Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 2026

The Hollywood Fix ("we," "us," or "our") operates thehollywoodfix.news (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

The Site is a free celebrity news site. You can read every article without signing up or creating an account. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect a small amount of information, either because you give it to us or because your browser sends it automatically.

Information you give us. If you email us or use a contact form to send a tip, question, or business inquiry, we receive:

  • your email address and the content of your message, which we need in order to reply; and
  • your name and anything else you decide to include, such as photos, videos, or links.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our servers, cookies, and similar technologies may record:

  • device and browser details, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and screen size;
  • how you use the Site, such as the articles you read, how you arrived, how long you stay, and when you visit;
  • approximate location (country, region, or city) estimated from your IP address; and
  • cookie identifiers and advertising identifiers.

We do not ask for, and do not want to receive, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information. Please do not send it to us.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to run the Site, fund it through advertising, and answer the people who contact us. Specifically, we use it to:

  • publish, deliver, and improve our articles and videos;
  • reply to tips, questions, and partnership or licensing inquiries;
  • understand which stories readers enjoy and how people find the Site;
  • show advertising and measure how ads perform;
  • keep the Site secure, and detect fraud, spam, bots, or abuse; and
  • meet our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

If you send us a news tip, we may use the information in it for reporting. We will not publish your name or contact details as the source unless you agree.

3. Cookies, Advertising, and Analytics

The Site is free because it is supported by ads, and both the ads and our analytics rely on cookies.

Cookies. Cookies are small files saved on your device. We use them to make the Site work, remember your settings, count visits, and support advertising. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before setting cookies that are not essential.

Advertising. We work with third-party ad partners, including Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tools to show ads based on your visits to this Site and other websites, and to measure ad results. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your browsing.

Analytics. We use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to see how visitors use the Site. These providers collect data such as your IP address and pages viewed on our behalf.

Your choices.

  • Change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Some parts of the Site may then stop working properly.
  • Turn off personalized ads from Google at Google Ads Settings.
  • Opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers that host the Site, deliver email, provide analytics, or serve ads for us, under terms that limit how they may use it.
  • Advertising partners, as described in Section 3.
  • Content distribution partners. Our articles and videos may also appear on partner platforms such as news aggregators. Those platforms collect information under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, our readers, or the public.
  • Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, sale, or reorganization.
  • With your consent, in any other case.

Embedded videos and social media. Many articles include embedded YouTube videos and social media posts. When you view or play them, YouTube (Google) and the social platform may set cookies and collect information about you under their own policies, including Google's Privacy Policy.

Links to other sites. The Site links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

5. Data Retention and Security

We keep information only as long as we need it, then delete or anonymize it.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to show, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop certain uses of it. To make a request, email us at the address in Section 9.
